This is kernel driver for controlling the Goldfish sync
device on the host. It is used to maintain ordering
in critical OpenGL state changes while using
GPU emulation.
The guest open()'s the Goldfish sync device to create
a context for possibly maintaining sync timeline and fences.
There is a 1:1 correspondence between such sync contexts
and OpenGL contexts in the guest that need synchronization
(which in turn, is anything involving swapping buffers,
SurfaceFlinger, or Hardware Composer).
The ioctl QUEUE_WORK takes a handle to a sync object
and attempts to tell the host GPU to wait on the sync object
and deal with signaling it. It possibly outputs
a fence FD on which the Android systems that use them
(GLConsumer, SurfaceFlinger, anything employing
EGL_ANDROID_native_fence_sync) can use to wait.
Design decisions and work log:
- New approach is to have the guest issue ioctls that
trigger host wait, and then host increments timeline.
- We need the host's sync object handle and sync thread handle
as the necessary information for that.
- ioctl() from guest can work simultaneously with the
interrupt handling for commands from host.
- optimization: don't write back on timeline inc
- Change spin lock design to be much more lightweight;
do not call sw_sync functions or loop too long
anywhere.
- Send read/write commands in batches to minimize guest/host
transitions.
- robustness: BUG if we will overrun the cmd buffer.
- robustness: return fd -1 if we cannot get an unused fd.
- correctness: remove global mutex
- cleanup pass done, incl. but not limited to:
- removal of clear_upto and
- switching to devm_***

The buffer_status field is interrupt updated. After every read request,
the buffer_status read field should be reset so that on the next loop
iteration we don't read a stale value and read data before the
device is ready.

IRQ mode already passes in a struct pt_regs from get_irq_regs().
FIQ mode passes in something similar but not identical to a
struct pt_regs - FIQ mode stores the spsr of the interrupted mode
in slot 17, while pt_regs expects orig_r0.
Replace the existing mixture of void *regs, unsigned *regs, and
struct pt_regs * const with const struct pt_regs *. Modify
dump_regs not to print the spsr since it won't be there in a
struct pt_regs anyways. Modify dump_allregs to highlight the
mode that was interrupted, making spsr easy to find there.

The conversion to use oom_score_adj instead of the deprecated oom_adj
values breaks existing user-space code. Add a config option to convert
oom_adj values written to oom_score_adj values if they appear to be
valid oom_adj values.

When ashmem_shrink is called from direct reclaim on a user thread, a
call to do_fallocate will check for permissions against the security
policy of that user thread. It can thus fail by chance if called on a
thread that isn't permitted to modify the relevant ashmem areas.
Because we know that we have a shmem file underneath, call the shmem
implementation of fallocate directly instead of going through the
user-space interface for fallocate.

This basicly reverts commit e534f3e9 (staging:nvec: Introduce the use of
the managed version of kzalloc). Serio struct should never by managed
because it is refcounted. Doing so will lead to a double free oops on module
remove.

This is necessary to detect paz00 (ac100) touchpad properly as one
speaking ETPS/2 protocol. Without it X.org's synaptics driver doesn't
work as the touchpad is detected as an ImPS/2 mouse instead.
Commit ec6184b1c7 changed the way
auto-detection is performed on ports marked as pass through and made the
issue apparent.
A pass through port is an additional PS/2 port used to connect a slave
device to a master device that is using PS/2 to communicate with the
host (so slave's PS/2 communication is tunneled over master's PS/2
link). "Synaptics PS/2 TouchPad Interfacing Guide" describes such a
setup (PS/2 PASS-THROUGH OPTION section).
Since paz00's embedded controller is not connected to a PS/2 port
itself, the PS/2 interface it exposes is not a pass-through one.

This command was sent behind serio's back and the answer to it was
confusing atkbd probe function which lead to the elantech touchpad
getting detected as a keyboard.
To prevent this from happening just let every party do its part of the
job.

`ni_tio_clock_period_ps()` used to return the clock period in
picoseconds, and had a `BUG()` call for invalid cases. It was changed
to pass the clock period back via a pointer parameter and return an
error for the invalid cases. Unfortunately the code to handle
user-specified clock sources with user-specified clock period is still
returning the clock period the old way, which can lead to the caller not
getting the clock period, or seeing an unexpected error. Fix it by
passing the clock period via the pointer parameter and returning `0`.

Early commit 30ca5cb63c ("staging: sm750fb: change definition of
PANEL_PLANE_TL fields") and 27b047bbe1 ("staging: sm750fb: change
definition of PANEL_PLANE_BR fields") modify the register bit fields
definitions. But the modifications are wrong, because the bit mask of
"bit field 10:0" is not 0xeff, but 0x7ff. The wrong definition bugs
makes display very strange.

Interestingly scale related fixes for accelerometers at both ends of
the range. Obviously more varied devices turning up than we've seen before!

- fix an uninitialized value in a return case that is winding up GCC.
* hid sensors
- missing pm function prevents hid rotations sensors from working on newer
ISH hubs (works by luck on older ones)
- increase of scale precision needed to fix a case where on a yoga 260
the reported scale is 0 (presumably a high precision but very low g sensor).
* st_sensors
- fix an issue seen with the hs3lis331dl where the range is much greater
than previous devices (100's of g) and hence the per bit scale is greater
than 1.

The ad5933_i2c_read function returns an error code to indicate
whether it could read data or not. However ad5933_work() ignores
this return code and just accesses the data unconditionally,
which gets detected by gcc as a possible bug:

The newly added __sca3000_get_base_freq function handles all valid

This removes the 'write' and 'force' from get_user_pages() and replaces
them with 'gup_flags' to make the use of FOLL_FORCE explicit in callers
as use of this flag can result in surprising behaviour (and hence bugs)
within the mm subsystem.

This fix removes the unnecessary call to destroy_workqueue() while opening

We're testing "pdev" but we intended to test "heap_pdev". This is a
static checker fix and it's unlikely that anyone is affected by this
bug.
